“The Future” is Now

Black Mirror… the name of the show is so apt. It holds up a mirror to society that isn’t afraid to show our dark side. In my opinion, all truly worthwhile science fiction accomplishes one thing amongst various mixes of other goals: it displays a current issue in a slightly exaggerated way that will shock people firstly as a concept in and of itself and then secondly as they realize that the society they live in is only a little different than that exaggerated example.
